Payers
A payer is an entity that finances or reimburses the cost of health services (e.g. an insurance company). Payer records are a shared, non-tenant-partitioned catalog: the tenant-id header required by these operations is used only for audit-trail attribution, not to scope or restrict which payers a caller can see or modify. Use this resource to browse, look up, create, and replace payers.
List payers, sorted by ID ascending
Returns a page of payers from the shared payer catalog, ordered by `id` ascending — payer records carry no creation timestamp, so there is no 'newest first' ordering. Use this to browse or discover payers before referencing one by ID (e.g. when associating a payer with a plan or network); use `GET /payers/{id}` once you already have a specific payer ID.
Create a payer record
Creates a new payer in the shared payer catalog. Use this before associating a payer with a plan or provider network; the `id` returned here is required by those downstream association endpoints.
Replace a payer's full record by ID
Replaces the stored record for the payer identified by `{id}` with the supplied payload. This is a **full replacement, not a partial update** — confirmed against `PayerService.mergeModelsForUpdate` in the payer service, which overwrites `externalPayerId`, `sourceId`, and `data` wholesale from the request body. Any of these fields omitted from the request are cleared rather than preserved from the existing record, so always send the complete payer payload.
Fetch a payer by ID
Retrieves the full record for the payer identified by `{id}`. Use this once you already have a specific payer ID; use `GET /payers` to discover or browse payers.
